Skin needling
Skin needling in Luton
Also known as microneedling or collagen induction therapy, skin needling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves using fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin. This process stimulates the body’s natural healing response, promoting collagen and elastin production, which can improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance.
The Treatment
- The skin is cleansed in preparation for the treatment.
- Anaesthetic/numbing cream is applied on the area.
- Once numb, the cream is removed for the treatment to begin.
- A serum/nutrient is applied and a tool with fine needles is used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin, to enhance absorption. The depth of the needle can be adjusted based on the skins concerns.
The device may be a derma-stamp, microneedling pen or a radiofrequency (RF) microneedling machine.
