PRF for Lips
PRF Lips
Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is an advanced, all-natural treatment that utilizes your body’s own healing properties to rejuvenate and enriches the lips. Once drawing your blood and processing it into concentrated platelets, fibrin, and growth factors, the PRF stimulates collagen production and tissue regeneration when injected into the lips. This process not only adds natural enhancement but also improves lip hydration, colour, and overall health.
Approximately, 1-2ml of PRF is injected into the lips. For optimal results, 2-3 sessions may be required to maintain long-lasting effects.
The Benefits
- Natural Enhancement: PRF promotes the production of collagen, leading to naturally healthier looking & uplifted lips.
- Improved Lip Hydration and Colour: The growth factors in PRF enhance lip moisture and restore a youthful, vibrant colour.
- Reduced Fine Lines: The increase in collagen production allows vertical lines around the mouth to smoothen, resulting in a more youthful appearance.
- Minimal Risk: Since PRF is derived from your own blood, there’s a reduced risk of allergic reactions or complications.
- Longevity: The fibrin matrix, allows for a slower release of growth factors over time, leading to longer-lasting effects.

FAQs
Does the treatment hurt?
We numb the area before injecting, to minimise discomfort. However, the lips are generally sensitive and consist of thinner skin. Due to this, sensitivity is unavoidable, and some people may find the injections uncomfortable. Our aestheticians ensure to make you feel at ease and provide you with the time to perform the treatment at your own pace.
Does this treatment produce the same results as filler?
No.
PRF helps to achieve naturally replenished, hydrated, rejuvenated, nourished lips by activating growth factors and collagen synthesis.
Hyaluronic acid fillers aim to increase volume, plump and enhancing the shape of your lips by introducing a synthetic substance into the lips.
Can PRF & lip filler be combined?
Yes.
If you are looking to not only enhance the volume and shape of your lip – but also achieve healthier nourished lips, then combining the 2 treatments is ideal. The PRF will aid and complement the filler by helping the lips appear more hydrated (by interacting with hyaluronic acid molecules) for even longer.
Can PRF be dissolved?
Unlike filler, PRF cannot be dissolved. The substance itself does not hold shape like filler does and disperses faster into your lips. Although, it is the components within the PRF, which cause the effects of enriching the lips. This treatment is autologous meaning we use the substance created from your own blood to inject back into your body. Thus, there is no such substance which can dissolve it.
Can you react to PRF?
It is unlikely to experience reactions from the PRF, as it is derived from your own blood. Any reactions following the treatment may be from the trauma of the needle – which often results in swelling, bruising, redness, soreness. However, these symptoms subside over the following few days.
