When injected into the skin, Profhilo stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore the firmness of the skin.
Profhilo® not only boosts and hydrates the skin but also remodels aging and sagging tissue.
The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck. Moreover, it can also be used for the décolletage, hands, arms, knees, and abdomen area where it would effectively treat skin laxity. The treatment is suitable for men and women as well as offers skin benefits for patients of all ages.
A course of 2 treatments is the recommended protocol performed ideally 28 days apart.
What are the possible side effects?
Most side effects of this treatment are mild or moderate and usually, they last less than 7 days.
The most common side effects include temporary injection site reactions such as the redness, pain/ tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/ bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration.
After care & Downtime
- Make-up should not be worn for 12 hours after the treatment.
- You are advised to avoid any alcohol and vigorous exercise for around 48 hours
- Avoid sun bathing, and extremes of heat or cold for 14 days post treatment.
- Any bruising may take a few days to appear, arnica can be helpful in clearing bruising. It is advisable to avoid aspirin and alcohol for 12-48 hours after treatment.
- Tenderness should settle as swelling and bruising goes down
